Polyunsaturated fatty acids in transgenic and Wt zebrafish were measured through gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). (a) Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), (b) docosapentaenoic acid (DPA), (c) docosahexenoic acid (DHA), and (d) total n-3 PUFAs were analyzed. Control groups of Wt fish were fed on artemia, while other groups were fed on a commercial diet. The values are milligrams of fatty acid per gram of whole fish body, and are shown as means ± SEM (n = 5). Statistically significant differences between Wt and transgenic fish were determined using T-TEST (*p < 0.05, **p < 0.01)
